This is my first and last post on this forum.
I just wanted to voice what a sharp practice "latching" a phone is when it had nothing to do with an O2 contract in the first place! I paid £699 for an iPhone5 in December 2012 - off contract but as soon as my O2 SIM went in it, it now won't accept any other SIM than O2. Why would O2 do that? It's totally shameful!
I only had two simple questions that seem beyond O2 to answer:
I don't want someone telling me the procedures to resolve this either. I have read every post in the comminuty and tried them all for nearly two weeks now - all to no avail. Gurus are useless, LivePerson operators read from dummy-cards and cannot think for themselves, and Customer support have never rang me back in the 5 times i have called. (yes I mean you!!!)
Apple, Carphone Warehouse (the purchase outlet), Google and every single forum visited blame O2 for this.... and O2 blame everyone else... typical... O2 you are a shambles... seriously you are. If I had time I would sue you but I just don't...
You seem blissfully happy to leave me with the most expensive iPod in the world now I have chosen to leave you. Fortunately some clever kid has jail-broken it and unlocked it for me by hacking your own databases - thus doing your job for you!.
Like I said, I don't want warranty speeches, at least I can make calls with it now. That's more than O2 had left me with.
I want no responses to this - just a chance for people to read it before they choose to 'brick' their equiptment by joining O2
