Research suffering due to Brexit vote

I knew this would happen. Research is already being hit by the Brexit vote.

Having worked in an environment which thrived and grew on research linked projects, I could honestly weep at this news...

I imagine all those clever brexit eejits are now enjoying the chaos they've caused.

I honestly don't think many of them realised the full implications of voting to leave. It was one of the first things I said to my husband. He replied there were countries outside the EU who would work with us. I asked him if he realised how much funding we got from the EU to participate in these projects? He had absolutely no idea......

Yes, it's very poor at the mo, but fortunately I topped up my Euros last year when it was at 1.40 so I'm OK short term.

Short term being the operative word. The IMF's forecast isn't very promising, and it says the UK will suffer the most.
