David Prowse, the 6'7" tall actor and from Bristol who played Darth Vader and The Green Cross Code Man passed away overnight, aged 85.
His lines in Star Wars were voiced over by James Earl Jones, but out-takes show he spoke the lines during filming.
RIP David

Re his accent, I've just seen on the news, they accepted it for the first film he appeared in...the others his voice was dubbed by an American actor.

He was not the tallest on the set of Star Wars - Peter Mayhew played Chewbacca stood head and shoulders taller, and sadly passed last year aged 74.
And we know Carrie Fisher is no longer with us, nor is Kenny Baker, the actor inside R2D2.
