Re: R.I.P Keith Flint (The Prodigy)

I love The Prodigy, particularly Keith. Firestarter is one of my favourite tracks when I want to listen to something to wake me up.

A real trajedy and so sorry to hear he took his own life. So very sad and he'll be missed cry

RIP Keith.

Re: R.I.P Keith Flint (The Prodigy)

For me, the generation of the Prodigy can be summed up quite easily.
The success of PlayStation as a console can be attributed in some way, to the Prodigy.
Back when PlayStation's were being mass promoted in night clubs and events, they would set up 10-20 PlayStation's in a row, and on them they ran demos of wipeout and later wipeout 2097.
On the models running wipeout 2097 they used the song firestarter as the music, which was later included in the game.
In fact I believe (not fully checked but I believe I'm correct) once firestarter was added to the soundtrack of wipeout 2097 it became the first commercial single licenced to a video game, something all too common nowadays.
Wipeout and the Prodigy is where it all began.

I know it may be for different reasons Flint is liked

Seems to me though that this is the type of person

that is very unlikeable.

SO

Stay Cool, normal and reasonable every dayinnocent lots of decent nice people out there

never get a mention.

Re: R.I.P Keith Flint (The Prodigy)

Had a news report showing that - apparently confirmed by band mates.
Such a shame; they were due to perform later this year and people have remembered him saying he was looking forward to it.
A fantastic quote from kathy burke on her twitter account "he did what all music stars are meant to do: he frightened your mums and dads".
So true of the music he was part of.
Now using the LG V30.

Previously: LG G4, Sony Z1, HTC Sensation XE, Samsung Omnia i900

Try the Tech Lumia 640LTE and Microsoft Band

Re: R.I.P Keith Flint (The Prodigy)

Yet he never frightened me @gmarkj  joy

My lads introduced me to the Prodigy music.

It was loud, brash and totally in your face. I saw concerts where they performed at Glastonbury and they just blew me away with their energy and total lack of respect (within the music) for anyone easily offended.

Maxim always started their concerts with 'Where's all my **bleeping* warriors?

There were all there... ready to get going

I saw them live as I said, and have never seen a concert where the band generated so much atmosphere and worship.

Totally different persona when they were interviewed. Came across as a nice bunch of lads.

They were booked to play Glastonbury this year. (according to a post @viridis  showed me)

From what I gather, aside from his persona, Keith was very much liked for his soft kind personality that interviewers and fellow celebs loved.

Not one says he was ever anything but a kind person.

Seems strange knowing this and him being banned by the BBC due to "he scares children"

That's why it's always a good idea not to confuse the onstage persona with the real person. Very often they're never the same!
