Given that it's only a matter of time until the current lunatic Brexit-based-nostalgia / take-back-control crowd try to bring back "old money" along with pounds/ounces, miles/yards/feet/inches, gallons/pints etc. - can we have an assurance that we won't be billed in Guineas?

I suspect there are a lot of older people who would be very happy to do just that. The only problem is and old Penny is worth nothing in todays market.
I can remember a time when I could shop for my family for a week for £10. Just imagine what that would get you now!!
I also know from spending so much time in Spain, had they the chance to revert to pesetas, they would do it in a hearbeat. They still have stores called 100 Peseta shops!

Well would that be Solid gold guineas?
I.e. sovereigns
@Projectionist?
That would definitely be the way to go 😄😄😍😍
Edited to say
I don't care what we weigh in or
measure in as long as I get the measure I agree to for the money agreed to. Maybe even barter 👍

I would love to see a return of old coinage and imperial measurements; and the total abolition of metric!
This has nothing to do with Brexit but fond memories.
Still its unlikely to happen as teachers and kids would have to learn to count and do arithmetic without a calculator or smart phone and god-knows what it`d be like at the check out in the local supermarket.

I was brought up in 'old money' but after almost 50 years of metrics I would hate to go back, just pointless. Those of us who remember pre-decimal will soon be long gone so it is ridiculous to even think we would revert.

Hmmmm, wonder what the average person would offer as most people don't keep any sort of livestock.
Maybe we'll have to start growing veg and keeping Chickens.
Imagine your mobile bill being two Chickens and a pound of Carrots.
I think nostalgia drove the vote to leave but the average person will be no more 'in control' than they are now.
Politicians always look after themselves, wherever they are based.
Would be a steep learning curve for people like me who were born after decimalisation and just think of the number of billing systems that would need reprogramming and you think your energy supplier is bad now!

Aren’t we still using imperial measurements?
I definitely had a few pints last night, and I’m still feeling the effects of that session today
