I'm a bit late to the party here (not been around much recently), but I too wish to banish the ridiculous banner at the top of the screen to Room 101.  Seems to be a popular choice  yahoo

Thanks

Not too late @welshsteve76 . Nominations for Room 101 are welcome at any time.

The banner has already been nominated and banished to Room 101 but if you, or anyone else, has anything else you`d like to see nominated for Room 101 feel free to add them.

I`ll post a list of things which have already been banished to Room 101, and also the recent list of things nominated for the next votes, later today.

On the TV topics, I'd put ALL reality TV shows into Room 101.

They really are the pits and have made "so-called celebrities" out of a ridiculous fame hungry people who offer absolutely nothing to society.

Thanks

Each to their own @welshsteve76  wink

I like quite a few reality shows. Strictly Come Dancing, I'm A Celebrity Get me out of here, Dancing on Ice, Britains got Talent, The Voice.

However, I have never watched Love Island and Big Brother was awful.

Mind you BB is finished for good now, so I'm pleased about that.

I don't doubt people watch them, otherwise they wouldn't be on TV.  And it is mainly a go at among others:  Big Brother, Love Island, Towie, Made in Chelsea, the *bleeping* kardashians, XFactor, The Voice and Britain's Got Talent

Plus any off shoots of all the above

Strictly isn't too bad, but is still over-hyped, as all these shows are.

The "talent" shows though just seem to be more about the judges trying to upstage the contestants.

As you say though, each to their own grin

Thanks

Well one thing we agree on, is the judges trying to upstage each other and the talent they are judging. wink

I also watch quite a few of the reality shows like The Voice, Dancing on Ice, I'm A Celebrity, Strictly Come Dancing and X Factor, though I don't watch Britain's Got Talent.

However, Love Island and BB and The Bachelor, TOWIE, Made in Chelsea I wouldn't waste the electricity on as they  either exploit the contestants for the viewing public's pleasure or are scripted pretending to be real life. That's not something I particularly want to watch.

I do agree that with the talent shows, it is more about the judges than the contestants and unfortunately that's not going to change.

As @Cleoriff has said to each their own. TV is, and should be, a varied medium providing shows for a wide variety of tastes. You have the option to watch or not. If people enjoy watching the likes of Love Island and TOWIE, while it's not something I would personally waste time on, I don't begrudge others watching it.

We all enjoy different things and that too is not going to change. And long may it continue.

Has bad drivers been put into Room 101 yet?

Terrible parking in car parks, speeding for the sake of it, turning or overtaking on motorways without indicating, middle lane hogging on motorways etc.

Thanks
