ONE SENTENCE HALLOWEEN STORY - 2023

Good morning 

As it's Friday it's time to pull out the reading chair and get your writer's head on to take part in the ONE SENTENCE HALLOWEEN STORY - 2023 edition.

I've taken inspiration from the 2022 edition created by @Cleoriff and this year's story will follow similar rules, which can be seen below ↘️

• The story will need involvement from several members to complete the story.
• You can contribute more than one sentence, however, let others get involved in between.
• As this is a Halloween Story, please make this as spooky as you can and keep us all on the edge of our seats
• I have started the story below, so you'll just need to comment on the thread to continue the tale.
• The story will come to a close when I comment: THE END.
• The complete story will then be posted for all to read from start to finish.

A NOT SO SILENT NIGHT 

She turned off the porch light and set the bowl of candy on the table. Trick or treating was officially over. She sighed. Thankful for the silence, she began walking up the stairs to brush her teeth. Something made her pause. Turning her head, she looked to see if the door was locked. It was. Looking out the window, the street appeared to be just as empty and silent as the house. Silly, she thought and took another step. Then she heard it again....................................................

Handless and legless, she wondered if she was drunk?

Then she realised who it was that had made the noise up above...

More to the point, she realised what the noise meant...

[Mi-Amigo]

"I`ll sober up by washing my face" she said and bent over the sink, when above her a frightening sight appeared in the bathroom mirror

Oh god look at me she said....

But I have my hand and leg back at least!

[TallTrees]

AHHH  now look at me

[Cleoriff]

Vampires, Scary Pumpkin, Sparky the dog, and all manner of horrible things...this is a nightmare surely....

And sliding the sash window up, she launched herself off into the night...

... in search of a victim to sink her fangs into.... "Can`t have a horror story without a drop of blood" she said

...where she encountered other creatures of the night...

and just like a bat she flew.....
