EE is looking to pull out of its partnership with Carphone Warehouse, with a decision to be reached following a review of its consumer retail strategy. It will leave just O2 and Vodafone as viable options through Carphone Warehouse.
EE will also be reviewing its partnership with retailer Phones 4u and instead concentrate on dealing directly with consumers.
With O2 also ending their relationship with Phones4U, is this the end of mobile phone retailers that aren't linked directly to the networks?

Mine is a bit more personal! We bought a TV with extended warranty from Currys. The TV packed up and, when it came back after being repaired, the screen was cracked and it was filthy! They eventually agreed to replace it and when we got the replacement home it was faulty. It was back in the days of Teletext (shows how long I bear a grudge!) and only half the page was showing.
When we complained the manager told us it was a feature of the set and when I laughed he reluctantly said he would have to contact Samsung to see if it was actually faulty! When I said that all I wanted was a working TV he asked me what part of no I didn't understand! Needless to say I wasn't impressed and complained very loudly in front of as many customers as possible and at that point the manager threatened to call the police and have me arrested! I'm ashamed to say I backed down at that point.
We did get our working set but I'd rather pay double and go elsewhere!
