Well this lot is going on till at least Monday. People waiting up to 15 hrs in hot weather. Apparently UK officials are being drafted in to help with French Border Police today......What a nightmare..

All a bit of a mess to be honest. Let's hope they sort it so people can enjoy their holiday.

To some extent I can understand the increased 'security'. At one time you could virtually just wave your passport at the border and you were through...now for obvious reasons you can't. They are examining every passport. What I can't accept is that the UK and France failed to realise this was about to happen. There were not enough staff on at the border. In fact one reporter said two sections were unmanned....

This was the picture of the port after lucky people managed to get through....hardly busy is it?

Cars board a ferry at Dover after some people queued for 15 hours to get through customs

PS...before anyone says this has nothing to do with Brexit...I will state that it wasn't me who started to take it off topic...Horrified

Well Twitter is awash with stories about a French reaction to the UK voting for Brexit, obviously mainly from people stuck in the huge delay.

It has everything to to with Brexit in my opinion.
Any excuse for the French to be awkward or difficult!

True. Now people are experiencing what we go through every time we want to enter Gibraltar from Spain. That's all political as well. Its quicker to get a plane and fly into Gib........:smileysad:
