I've been reading up on the exit procedure.

Until the Prime Minister (whoever that might be) invokes Article 50 then the exit negotiations do not commence.

Both Cameron and Johnson have said that there is no hurry to invoke Article 50 (no matter what Juncker has said) so it could be that it won't be invoked until after the new Prime Minister is in place.

Also after Article 50 is invoked and negotiations have been finalised, what if one country uses its veto ?

Cameron won't do it. It's probably one of the reasons he resigned so quickly. He's now left it up to whoever becomes the next PM.

I've read that with all that needs to be altered and renegotiated, it could take much longer than two years to end the EU partnership. The uncertainty about what will happen and when will only be bad for the UK.
