How do I put an animated GIF in Signature?

Could someone please give me the HTML code to allow me to insert a GIF animation, please.  Or suitable alternative instructions if that is not the way to achieve it.

Thanks @Poppysmum I am quite useless at all this techy stuff now.  Use to understand a little; now I can barely open the package when I get a new piece of equipment.

Meet Lucy - as she was when a pup.  Now she is 5 years old and still running rings round me.  Thank goodness she belongs to my daughter!!!

I try and understand techy stuff but its got to be in an idiots guide .

I have cut my fingers many a time trying to get in packaging and if i order from Amazon cant get in box then have to try and find what i have ordered among all the stuffing
