Welcome to the seventh in the series of Challenges.

Between October 1962 and May 1970, The Beatles released 24 singles, 13 EPs, 13 Albums, with a total of 293 tracks.

                                                    HOME IN LYRICS CHALLENGE

Below is a list of home-related words which appear in officially released Beatles songs.

The Challenge is to find the song, or songs, in which each word appears.

The Challenge is open to everyone - new members and long-time members.

Most people will know some of the Beatles` songs, so whether you have an extensive collection or not, why not come and join in. I`m sure that the other regular players will make you feel welcome.

Hints/clues:

Some words appear in more than one song. In such cases, the number of songs in which the word is in is shown in [x].

Some songs contain more than one of the words on the list. In these cases, you need to find each word and post each answer in a separate post.

Note: you are not looking for other home-related words which may be in the lyrics of Beatles` songs but to find the songs in which the words in the list appear.

Should you find any of the words in the list are in songs which are not on my list, as in the previous Challenges, I will re-check my sources and give my verdict with an explanation as to my decision.

Answers which are "live" recordings; in BBC sessions; Polydor records [My Bonny or Ain`t She Sweet];

bootlegs; unreleased tracks; or only in the Anthology series; or in Revolution 9, are not accepted.

Rules:

Please, no googling, wiki, social media, iplayer, youtube, personal record collection [e.g. album sleeves] in search of the answers. Of course, listening to songs is permitted.

You may submit one answer for one word in one song per post - not two or more songs where the same word appears - and can only post one answer per day.

Each entry should be submitted as  [home-related word] in [name of song it appears in].

This Challenge will open at 10pm tomorrow [Thursday 30 May] when you can submit your first answer up to 10pm Friday, when the first results will be announced.

On each subsequent day/night, answers can be submitted after 11pm up to 10pm the next day.

The list of home-related words is given in the next post.

Good luck.

Yes I did enjoy them all @Mi-Amigo but really need a break now and wish good luck to all those taking part in the next one.

I definitely know how you feel. I'm walking round with Beatle songs on repeat in my head. As much as hey are one of my all time favourite bands, some of their lyrics left much to be desired LOL

To be honest @Mi-Amigo if the next challenge opens tomorrow (as it's Thursday now) I will be giving it a miss.

Without going into details, I have a testing week coming up from Monday and my mind is very far away from listening to Beatles music again.

So I wish everyone well, but when this challenge finishes, I'm out.

Had you decided on a date 2 weeks from now it may have been a different story...but there you go.

I for one totally understand why @Cleoriff .

I do hope you find some kind of solace next week. I hope all goes as well as you could expect from saying goodbye....:smileysad:

@Mi-Amigo  As both @Cleoriff  and @Glory1  are opting out of the next challenge, might I suggest that you suspend the next one for a couple of weeks? They are both mainstays, and doing the next challenge without them wouldn't really be much fun. If the truth be known, I'm a little burned out with this as well, and would welcome a break. It's just a bit of overkill week after week. I think we all need to recharge our batteries.

Inasmuch as Kurgan said it's "better to burn out than to fade away" (I think!), I'd agree that a break from Beatles would be a good idea. Keep the Thursday Quiz, it has a pleasing format now, and let the Beatles rest for the summer, @Mi-Amigo.

Those are my thoughts too. The quizzes have been great, my family has had Beatles overexposure as I binge-listen for that elusive lock of late 😖

The key thing is, it has been driving me nuts. And if it is like that Bo'sun bit in Yellow Submarine that's kinda conversational and off in the distance, well, @Glory1... @@. My volume dial only goes to 10, alas LOL

Yeah, well I was listening through my earbuds, and I heard the conversation you talk about but that's doesn't have a lock in it, unless my hearing's gone joy

I've listened to all my songs and I just can't hear it. I'm sure it'll be a kick yourself one but I just couldn't find it. I'll stick with the homes I have, unless @Bambino's found it.

I still haven't got Lock either. I can also tell you, that unless I have a brainstorm between now and then ..I won't ever have it innocent

Also, if we aren't doing this via PM's it's going to be down to FFF and that will be mayhem.

More so when you consider one of the group lives in a different time zone.....
