Today, December 21st is the shortest day of the year.

Thank god for that....now the days will start getting longer and I may be able to come out of hibernation

Yes, I forgot today's the shortest day. Thanks for that @Cleoriff.

But @TallTrees don't get too excited about it being lighter as it's very gradual and you won't really notice the longer days immediately after Christmas.
