The 02 Community is renown for its members offering help and for caring.
It is with great pleasure that I can announce that, thanks to the support of members of this Community, an adoption has been set up with the Born Free Foundation for what is known as the Elephant Family.
The Born Free Adoption Certificate will be in the name of the "02 Community".
It has been decided that one of these elephants should be named HOPE.
The adoption pack, with the adoption certifciate and photos of these beautiful creatures, should be received within the next few days and will be posted on this thread.
In the meantime, here is a short video of these beautiful elephants and the Born Free Foundation:

Thank you @Marjo
I should receive the info pack with the adoption certificate in the next few days.
I have requested the e-mail updates so can add those as and when they come through.
The Born Free Foundation issues a magazine Adopt in June and December, so we are in time for the next edition in a few weeks and I`ll let everyone know on here about any news with regards the Elephants, and, of course `our` Hope.
btw I have contacted Born Free Foundation today and unfortunately, because they have so many requests to name an elephant after a family member or friend, regretably they cannot formally name one Hope but, of course, there is no reason why we cannot continue calling one `ours` and referiing to him/her as Hope, which is what I think we should continue to do.
Thank you everyone for your support and for your interest in these beautiful animals and in `Hope`.

Interview with Dr Cynthia Moss, trustee at Born Free Foundation-supported Amboseli Research Project, where our little elephant, Hope, is.
As the interview reports, twins - one male and one female - were born in March. It is one of these which we have named `Hope` as the 02 Community elephant.

@Cleoriff wrote:Thanks for the update @Mi-Amigo . So Hope is one of twins.
Very rare to see that in the elephant families.
Twins are very rare. As the interview, dated 2018, says, the last twins born at Amboseli were in 1980.
From the date of the interview, our little Hope was born in March 2018, so is now 14 months old.
