Below is scene from a movie and I have removed a big chunk......Can you guess the film?

I can give clues if you need them

I'm stunned ... I thought the male actor looked like Gregory Peck ... it was one of my GCE 'O' level books

Not wishing to be pedantic about this Guess the Movie ... a clue ... a young boy was central to the plot of the movie

Now I've lost the plot here  do I, at this point, do a spoiler, or does someone who has a guess do a spoiler?

I'd like @Cleoriff to get this one, if I'm allowed to  ... sooo please could say @MI5 @jonsie kinda let her 'Get There 1st'

Great movie Sixth Sense @viridis , but no, & yes I'd seriously say you do have a 6th Sense 

& no need for @Cleoriff to 'go to the pool' unless its to cool off / sun-bathe / quaff off loadsa Spannish measures of vodka 

I've got a give-away clue, but can't decide whether to tease you just that little bit more, but then @MI5 might jump in quickly, despite or because he is Mr Distinguished  I'll do a little think
