[GAME] Christmas Crossword Puzzle!

Hi everyone! 

I've been waiting excitedly to post this one for a while now after our earlier crossword puzzle posted by @EmilieT a while back seemed to grab your attention.  This time it's a Christmas-themed crossword puzzle! 

Can you guess the words?

The rule: so that everyone has a chance to participate, please guess only 1 word per post and also please wait until someone else has guessed after you before you guess again.

Down:

1. Many have some of these repeating things each year (9 letters)

3. You bake these for Christmas (11)

4. Clean it before Christmas Day or someone might get stuck (7)

5. Can be organic or plastic (13)

7. They fall from the sky (9)

8. This is also a Community activity! (14)

12. It gives light (6)

16. It's not a time for working! (7)

Across: 

2. Carries a sack (5 letters)

6. Not much into the Christmas stuff (6)

9. Some hate this drink, some love it (6)

10. They ring (5)

11.  (9)

13. Someone significant lives there (9)

14. Holiday month (8)

15. One of the reindeers (7)

17. THAT reindeer (7)

18. Some eat this instead of turkey (3)

It went faster than I had anticipated. Can't wait to do a new one in the future! Any ideas for a theme, feel free to share.

Next year can you keep with tradition and put the 'across' clues first.....I wondered why none of my words fitted unless I squashed them up!

Is that the usual way then? Sorry, I don't actually do crossword puzzles much myself. I'll keep this in mind!

Yes it is @Marjo Across first... Down goes after that...

and.......
No spaces between words and if the answer is "Mince Pies" it should be described as 5 and 4 not 9
