Fun : Boxing Day sales: Shoppers flock to stores.

Headline : Boxing Day sales: Shoppers flock to stores.

Excerpt from the Link "Shoppers across the UK have been descending on their High Streets for the annual Boxing Day sales.

Some had queued from the early hours in the hope of securing bargains."

My thoughts :

Im not one for standing inline outside Retail shops in the early hours , but I do look online in various places for some deals. 😄

Did you wait in the early hours for a shop to open or visited your HighStreet to get a deal ,or instead go online from the comfort of your home ?

I can't think of anything worse than queuing to get into a shop! I ordered a couple of pairs of shorts from Next as its only 17 weeks and 5 days until I go to Florida (not that I'm counting!) but that's all my sale shopping!

I totally agree Tracey. I don't know where people get their money from if honest...All shopping till they drop... up till Christmas Eve...then back out again on Boxing Day? Crazy

So we have had Black Friday, Cyber Saturday, Manic Monday.....Oh well each to their own Rolleys

My two closest friends are just the same....I have been asked often if I want to go with them....Evil

Lucky you, off to Florida. I love it there...have been 4 times in total Bouncy

Good Morning @Anonymous

Im like you and prefer to shop either out of the lines or online.

Some People scrimp and save most of the year to have disposable income to be able to enjoy the 'buzz' of the shopping experience ,and that's just fine. Those that dig deeper into debt then that's a cross they must bear.

Some prefer to go on holiday with their loved ones.

Its all good.

It's the second time for me Cleoriff and I can't wait. The first time we went was for our honeymoon last year and there was so much we couldn't get done we decided to go back.

I only like shopping if I can walk into a shop and get exactly what I want. Another reason I shop online is that I prefer to try on clothes at home rather than in a poky changing room!

Nice to hear you go on holiday with your husband and a return visit to where you went on honeymoon - 😄

My partner doesn't like the changing rooms either. Thinks someone may draw back the curtains unexpectedly!

Last time we went my husband had a chest infection when we were out there and DVT when we came home so we're hoping he's healthier this time!

I completely understand where your partner is coming from!

A few years ago now ....my partner was trying on a new dress. My daughter who was 4 at the time decided to hook up the bottom of the changing room curtain , look under it ,and proceeded to shout out "my mummy's wearing blue knickers"and the shop was full.

Changing rooms haven't been popular kind of since then. 😳

I'm sure the 2nd time around on holiday will be awesome.

@Anonymous   When I was much younger I did love the 'buzz' of shopping trips. However, as this is a thread that can only be based based on personal experience.... I have to say nowadays. its online all the time for me (and only ever what I can afford....) Rolleys

For a supposed 'technophobe' like me, my husband often moans to our friends that 'I can shop for England without leaving the house.....and get better deals than most' LOL

I think online shopping is the best invention ever....Happy Dance

I bought loads of Christmas presents and the only one I got instore was a voucher for a shop that hasn't got an online facility....

I do envy you Florida. The last time we went, I booked for 3 weeks. Purely for the reason you said...so much to do and not enough time to get it all in. My friend and I did a 'timetable'... 8 of us went together and we knew some organisation was needed....I made sure we got a few days rest ...in between all the parks and malls LOL
