Channel 4 has taken over the terrestrial viewing for Formula 1 after BBC opted out of the contract.
I love F1 and am a bit dubious as to how successful this will be. However they have stated there will be no adverts during race time (thank god)
Yesterday they officially revealed the presenting team......
David Coulthard, Mark Webber, Alain Prost, Alex Zanardi, Susie Wolff, Karun Chandhok, Eddie Jordan and Bruno Senna; alongside seasoned live presenters and journalists Steve Jones, Ben Edwards and Lee McKenzie.
It also says Guy Martin will be making appearances

Sorry but that doesn't cut it with me. I choose whether to use a Toyota or Mercedes. But I choose a Merc and the garage can't fix it....sir , you need a new engine. Nah, put a Toyota engine in and I'll be ok. Cheaper and I can replace it every month or so....the poorer F1 teams could afford to do that too.

Yes it seems simple Steve...but if thats the case why do so many small teams go into administration. Still waiting to hear if Manor are able to race this year using last years engines.....

Give them all a Wartburg twostroke engine...3 cylinders but you could light up the tyres on a standing start without loss of traction....driven like that probably good for one F1 race as long as there were no safety cars!
Went like the proverbial off a shovel....

Sadly it's the end for Manor F1. They have failed to find a buyer...:smileysad:

Just need to make a correction here ...if you read further down the article it says
"JUST RACING SERVICES (Manors parent company) has gone into administration....It is not necessarily the end of Manor - a buyer could potentially still purchase the remnants of the team".

I doubt that will happen to be honest.

No it won't. Someone on a F1 site has commented the Manor building itself is empty now...
