Thanks @Anonymous .
I'm obsessed with F1 as many people know. It's not for everyone but as long as people keep posting on the thread I will keep it going. (Well after the Abu Dhabi race this weekend, F1 is finished for the season)
Roll on F1 2020
This is Sky Sports picture welcoming us to Abu Dhabi....

Does the race begin in daytime and end in nightime ?
Yes it does in Abu Dhabi. They are 4 hours ahead of us...but as it's winter it gets dark about half way through the race. Its the only day/night race on the calendar.
However the floodlights are on at race start so it doesn't affect the drivers.
We start watching the race on Sunday at 13.10pm. So it will be 17.10pm there.

Nicolas Latifi will replace Kubica at Williams for 2020. Another young lad with an extremely rich father
(Michael Latifi owns 10% of McLaren) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Latifi
Naturally there is already talk that there are better drivers out there. However none of them will bring the same money to Williams that Latifi will.

So Abu Dhabi FP1, not without incident. Daniel Ricciardo had an engine blowout and Vettel spun into the wall...Session stopped and not restarted. Bottas has a brand new engine. Lewis had problems with his...and FP1 end like this

Ferrari are very slow.
Lewis has been asked by the team to wear No 1 on his car. He could wear that number all next year but never does. He says 44 is is his number and that is what brings him luck. So I don't expect to see it on for FP2. They will have taken the photos for the team and that will be it.
As an aside, Vettels wife gave birth to their 3rd child, they now have a son. Bottas has announced with sadness that him and his wife Emilia are divorcing. Sad for them.
