True and this is why I think Max will join Merc when Lewis retires, not before.

I hope so ...also hope Lewis comes good tomorrow.
Bit sick of the F1 forum I belong to, inferring that LH is done now and Max walks on water.
A 21 year old who has had a total of 7 wins and 1 pole in his 4 year career.
Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted for Red Bull and pleased Honda is working out for them. It's great competition but amazing that people aren't looking at the positions of the two Ferrari drivers?

Ferrari seem to be well off the pace when they were predicted to be up there with Mercedes before the season started.

What a race. Max on pole Bottas in 2nd and LH started 3rd.
Into the first bend and Leclerc clipped Bottas. He had to pit for a new front end.
Master strategy from Merc. 14 laps from the end they pitted LH again. He was 20 seconds behind Max after pitting....and took the lead 4 laps from the end
Lewis went on to win. Max second. Vettel 3rd and he was 22 seconds behind those two.

Lewis was excellent today and thoroughly deserved the win. A big hand to the team though, a two stop was definitely the right call even though Lewis was questioning it. Also proved by the Ferrari boys, allowing Seb to get past Le Clerc.
I couldn't understand why Red Bull didn't cover Mercedes by calling Max in for fresh tyres but he did get fastest lap once he had made a belated stop.
Just what happened to Ferrari today, they were so far behind I couldn't believe it!
