Starting a new thread (before the last one gets split again)...:smileytongue:

It is 2018, The year of the Halo... Like it or hate it, it will be implemented as part of new FIA rules

None of the 2018 cars have been revealed yet (that happens in February) but this is how it will look

Image result for Fi Mercedes cars with Halo

Most drivers' aren't keen but are having to toe the party line...

Practice 2 is even worse. Hardly anyone is going out. Gasly tops the leaderboard so far rolling_eyes

Oh and the big news is, Sebastian Vettel has been given a 3 place grid penalty for failing to slow down enough during P1

Game over I think.....

They were talking about the possible penalty when I was watching and they showed the replays where the lights couldn't possibly be missed. Stupid really.

Is it wrong to wear a wry smile at this?

That part aside, I loved this exchange with Lewis and his mechanics when he went out in the rain in P2

Lewis (in the car): 'I'll go out guys, though I don't think we will learn anything from this'

Pit Wall: 'It's up to you Lewis'....

So out he goes, in rain, drives purple in all 3 sectors and wham...top of the leaderboard. Dance

Coming back into the pits

Pit Wall: 'Drive carefully Lewis, it's slippy here'

Lewis (laughing): 'You guys know better than to tell me to be careful' LOL

To be honest, I was hoping he didn't get a penalty. It spoils the race.I want Lewis to win his 5th but it's a shame he will have little competition.

However, Ricciardo and Ocon were punished for doing the same earlier in the season, so at least it's consistent @Anonymous

Having said all this, we still have P3 and Qualifying tomorrow and anything could happen.

I think that will be a lottery. We all know Lewis is the best driver in the wet (and in any weather) though I do worry that something bad will happen tomorrow and he'll start back of the grid.....but I worry about everything and if I have nothing to worry about then I'm worried perserving
