Football Talk

Thought I would start off a thread, bit of friendly banter not too heavy and an opportunity to express your ideas about your favourite team.

What are you hoping for in the January transfer market?

As a Liverpool fan I am hoping for cover for Mane and the front 3.

They`d sell their own grannie to keep that over-rated, over-paid egotist...

Yeh supporters of other football teams might love to hate Man Utd, but that`s part and parcel of the rivalry, but doesn`t alter the fact that other football teams have more talent than Mr Big-head who will do nothing to improve the chances of Man Utd achieving any rewards in the coming season, in my opinion - wait and see.

If Liverpool had bought CR I expect you would be jumping for joy. yahoo

No I wouldn`t be jumping for joy @Cleoriff but would think it was the most stupid mistake ever made.

But it never happened, was never going to happen. Liverpool weren`t interested, and would never buy CR in a million years, because they have more sense.

17.6 million is paid for by being in and winning one single game in the group stage of the Champions League: source here. An estimate by being in 3rd place of the Premier League last season £166.2 million. Even with his alleged £510,000 per week, thats a bargain signing in todays football world. Even more so if they win it. Would be a totally different situation if they weren't in the champions league.

It is a bargain.. that's why I'm wondering what the catch is? And even more so now the pay cut news has leaked out. Only £385k a year .. woe is me.

@Anonymous I think you will find that's actually £385k a week.

If Man U got Ronaldo for 17.5m and 385k a week then they got an absolute bargain in today's football world, there must be some other big bonuses and deals he is likely to get too as part of the deal.
