From 1/1/2025 Lewis Hamilton became a Ferrari driver.
The Ferrari media team released a very clever post.
Note the time it was posted. 16.44. 16 is Charles Leclerc's race number and 44 is Lewis Hamiltons number. (they are now team mates). Interesting to note that Mercedes have lost just under a million followers and Ferrari have gained over a million.
With all his farewell commitments to Mercedes, Lewis has not tested in last years Ferrari. (All new drivers did a test run in Abu Dhabi.) It's understood, he will be testing in Marinello, Italy, later this month.
A lot to learn. New car, new steering wheel, new team, new race engineer and new language.
Personally, I'm not expecting him to do that well initially. Only time will tell.
* F1 live at the O2 Arena London. February
* Pre- Season Testing in Bahrain 26th-28th February.
* 1st Race - Australia Friday March 14th-Sunday 16th March.

I also think some of these 'Papaya Rules' are ridiculous.
They are turning the drivers into the kind of people who say 'After You'...No, After you... these last few races are going to be interesting. Now they have secured the constructors, the drivers should be free to race
I also just KNEW Oscar would have a slow pitstop. 5.7secs against Lando's 2.3 seconds!!

And the last comments about Singapore, the TV coverage.
Social media comments were incensed at the TV directors coverage. Far too much showing of family and friends in the respective garages
Overall the race was boring but there was some excitement which we never got to see. We only knew it was going on due to the timing sheet down the left hand side. Carlos Sainz went from 20th to 10th. We never saw one of his overtakes. We saw the families in the McLaren garages
Then on lap 59, Lewis said his brakes had gone. The person behind him was Alonso, 50 seconds back.
He was told Hamiltons brakes had gone and he raced like a madman to catch and overtake.
All WE saw was that timing sheet with Alonso making up time on the last 3 laps whilst Hamiltons speed was dropping as he tried to get the car home and score points for the team. He managed to cross the line 4/10ths ahead of Alonso but was given a 5 second penalty for exceeding track limits
This is what Carlos had to say:

Looks as if both have settled for a 1 year contract. Toto Wolff still has his hopes of getting Max for 2027?

Leclerc had an issue with his car and didn't get a lap in.
Lewis didn't run on softs. Just hard and Mediums.
