From 1/1/2025 Lewis Hamilton became a Ferrari driver.

The Ferrari media team released a very clever post.

Note the time it was posted. 16.44. 16  is Charles Leclerc's race number and 44 is Lewis Hamiltons number. (they are now team mates). Interesting to note that Mercedes have lost just under a million followers and Ferrari have gained over a million.

With all his farewell commitments to Mercedes, Lewis has not tested in last years Ferrari. (All new drivers did a test run in Abu Dhabi.) It's understood, he will be testing in Marinello, Italy, later this month.

A lot to learn. New car, new steering wheel, new team, new race engineer and new language.

Personally, I'm not expecting him to do that well initially. Only time will tell.

RACE START 

Norris lost the start to Max and Russell. 2 Cars are out on first lap (Stroll and Borteleto).

Lewis went from 20th to 12th on first lap.

None finishers : Stroll,Bortoleto and Albon (who got a 5sec penalty for crashing into Lewis) 

Antonelli  got a 5 sec penalty for a jump start. Who  drove an excellent race protecting George and did 44 laps on hard tyres 

For Ferrari and after pit stops, Charles finshed 6th after starting 9th. Lewis started last and finished 10th. Obvious that the hard tyres were the best compound, Those on mediums struggled. (Lewis started on hards and made up 7 places on the first lap. then only 3 once he went on mediums)

Great race. Top three. Verstappen, Norris and Russell.

At race end we had the top 3 taken to the podium in a Pink Lego Cadillac, Fireworks and Mickey Mouse doing Fantasia and the F1 theme on the lake.

Only in Vegas. 😂

Norris and Piastri disqualified for "excessive skid-block wear"?

LATEST NEWS: 

FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer says: "The skid wear of car numbers 81 and 04 was checked.

" The rearmost skid was measured on both cars according to the team’s legality documents submission in accordance with TD039 M, item 1.2 b) i).

"The measured thickness was less than 9 mm on both cars, which is the minimum thickness required by TR Article 3.5.9 e). I am referring this matter to the stewards for their consideration."

REFERRED TO STEWARDS. BOTH NORRIS AND PIASTRI DISQUALIFIED

So everyone moves up 2 places.

More importantly. Max has a better chance of winning the Championship.

Really alters things. Max is now in with a chance of nicking the Championship with only two races left to go!!
