Morning all 😁
Crazy i know but William is going to 1 years old next week 😅
Tomorrow we are having a birthday party for him, so today i will be online until 12.30pm and taking leave in the afternoon to get everything prepared 😁
I'll be back online Monday morning as usual and will pick up any actions required then.
Hope you all have a great weekend 👍

Happy belated birthday William.
Clearly July is a good month as my birthday is over the weekend.
Love going to Wales, even with the drive. We go every so often to a converted bungalow in Tregaron, about 30 minutes from Aberystwyth. Hope you have a great time, and as lots of sun cream!

Thanks @jonsie, @Cleoriff, @gmarkj @Oxonian
We had a great day yesterday and William got everything he would want plus more 😁
I'll be heading off shortly for my long weekend in Wales with the task of attaching a roof rack ahead of me first 🤗
Hope you all have a good weekend and enjoy the sun where you can

Just to update we had a lovely times in Wales last week.
Visiting Portmerion was my highlight, could have fooled me that i was still in the UK.
William also had his first trip to the beach ❤️
I'm going to edit this thread to Dave on leave, so i can let you all know when i won't be around.
TODAY i won't be around from 12.30, as i've had some fresh soil delivered and i'm taking the afternoon to prepare the ground for some new turf to be laid in the coming weeks 😁
I'll be back as usual from 9am tomorrow 👍

Have a great time @Dave-O2.
William is a gorgeous boy. I can just imagine him helping you with that top soil today 😂
Portmerion is somewhere I'd love to visit. It was the site of the iconic 60's TV show The Prisoner.
Starred Patrick Mc Goohan (known as Number 6). He spent his time trying to escape. We loved it. 😉

I bought The Prisoner in a DVD box-set in the 1990s. Must dig it out - splendid programme. 😀

Yes, there was a dedicated gift shop to The Prisoner, there was also a cardboard cut out 😂
It is a stunning place, you have to pay £20 per adult to visit though, some more pictures below ↘️
I didn't get nearly as much done as i wanted to with the soil yesterday, so i might have to take some more time this coming Friday, as want it all done by the end of this week.
But i'll keep you all posted 👍

Beautiful place. There have been some changes since The Prisoner. Then the buildings were much whiter and more of them. Very Italianate.
There again, I expect some buildings were part of a set they built back in the day.
Some parts were shown next to the sea as well. (As Number 6 tried many an escape via that route) 😂

I remember visiting Portmeirion in the late 80s, whilst staying for a few days with a friend who lived near Aberystwyth. I remember the Camera Obscura being a feature in Aberystwyth too. As for Portmeirion, yes, a protected biome with much milder weather than the parts of Wales around it! Was free when I went, too 😉
