More and more people are or will be suffering the effects of coronavirus.
Last weekend, I was concerned about the advice that over 70s should self-isolate and posted my worries on a thread. Thanks to the messages of support, I now feel more positive about coping and dealing with things on a day by day basis.
Yesterday, we heard that one of the members of the O2 Community - @BOSSGOGG - and his family are in self-impossed lockdown and self-isolation.
Sadly, he and his family may only be the first of our members to self-isolate.
In the circumstances, and so rather than cases be reported on different threads and be missed, I have set this thread up to compliment the Coronavirus thread [with news and updates on the virus], and the "work-from-home" threads.
This is a place to post and let others know if you or your family have decided to, or have to, self-isolate
It is also the place where we can offer messages of support to all those in such a situation.
We are a Community. We are here. We can and will share our experiences. We can and will help and support. We will overcome this virus.
Thank you all for caring

As I mentioned Here I have put myself into self isolation as of yesterday.
I will be speaking to my GP this morning about my medication and the hospital about a routine procedure I have every 3 months which is due on April 8th.
Not being brave, courageous or any of those other words. Just trying to be sensible and protect myself. my family and friends.
Luckily and unlike many, I do have my husband to support me. He has been a star. Has stepped down pro tem as captain of his bowls club and instead set up a whatsapp group for the members.
So there you go. Day 1 and feels no different. (Which means I will be climbing the walls at the end of it)

You might not consider yourself brave or courageous in your decision to self-isolate but this is an unselfish act which is to be applauded.
It is good to know that you have the support of your husband and family and friends.
I`m sure that everyone on the Community who has got to know you will be pleased to know that you`ll continue to post across the forum. I for one would miss your posts and comments [and who else would keep the rabble us in order?
Stay well and good luck.

How on earth she thought it might be a good idea I have no clue!
Dispicable hypocrite who got caught out by the press for not once, but twice journeying to her second home, having made pleas in broadcasts to Stay At Home.
Yesterday, her apology amounted to her saying it was a "mistake". A "mistake"? What message does that send to the Covidiots? Finally, after a visit from the police, she has resigned, having said she wouldn`t and Scottish First Minister pleading her to stay as Scotland`s Chief Medical Officer.
Name and shame Catherine Calderwood - Covidiot.

There is no excuse I'm afraid and resignation was the only option. I have no sympathy in the slightest!

No nor me. A case of don't do as I do, do as I say! A career in tatters due to her own stupidity.

Yesterday Scottish Chief Medical Officer resigned after being exposed as a Covidiot.
Today, New Zealand`s Health Minister had admitted to twice breaking lockdown regulations.
On the first weekend after the lockdown on 25 March, he drove his family 12 miles to a beach in breech. Last week he drove to a mountain bike trial - and was caught by a photograph.
Named and shamed - David Clark, Covidiot
