The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.
The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.
The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

I wouldn't be so dismissive of Edwina and comments about eggs/salmonella.
I worked in the NHS at the time and we were given information from the Ministry Of Health.
In fact a Whitehall report published in 2001 proved that Currie had, in fact, been largely right. The study found that Britain was facing a "salmonella epidemic of considerable proportions" in late 1988 – and that the Government had down-played the risks.

Only fun on my part @Cleoriff
She was right and good for her too. Yet another denial of the facts to the public, constantly misleading.
It is a well known fact in the meat trade that chickens eggs and indeed many other creatures harbour salmonella.
I wash my hands after picking up eggs in egg shells!
PS
there weren't many people I knew who didn't believe her. No social media then otherwise she would have had much support.

And is it any surprise about the public health scare when you see pictures like these (scroll through the clickbait, sorry)

It's being reported that there has been a death in the Phillipines with the coronavirus as it's cause.
This is the first death outside of China.

Worrying as I have no confidence in the information being metered out here.
Especially as there are many Universities near with people from all over the world.
