The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51325192

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.

The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.

The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

Some people see things as they are and ask "Why?"; I dream of things that never were and ask "Why not?"

About time we had that confirmation about the Olympics @jonsie

It would be more than stupid. I expect most of the countries would refuse to go. I know Canada said yesterday they wouldn't attend.

I'm surprised at the delay especially as airports and immigration are almost at total lockdown for competing countries.

Thing is, thats normal procedure to get as close as you so you can whip the case off the belt wiping out everyone in range so doesn't matter, got to get out of the airport at all costs airborne virus or not. I really don't get the rush to get out of a plane just landed: you can't go anywhere! (Er well once I had to do that because the flight was delayed almost missing my connecting flight).

Not surprised at all that there's close quarter queues forming at Heathrow as well trying to get through the immigration. Its just not set up properly even on a good day as the whole setup is an after thought in favour of shopping. As for the stupidity of having to scan your boarding card every 10 steps is well, retarded and only adds to the problem.

Airports are really not much more than glorified cattle-pens, when you think about it. Hence SLF, the term used in the airline industry historically for passengers: Self-Loading Freight.

If you've time to spare, go by air. 😖
