The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51325192

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.

The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.

The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

We've cancelled all our holidays this year.
Won't be going anywhere.

Not at all. We also had a week in Devon booked for a mini break but had to cancel that.
I can't see us back in France until next Easter at the very earliest 😞

Our 'mutual friends' came back from Tenerife on Weds March 11th to go to our rock and roll weekend. They were booked to fly back on Weds 18th. Whilst here, Tenerife went into lockdown, Jet 2 cancelled the flights. Luckily they have someone who lives there, who could go in and turn off electricity and water, empty the fridge and close down their apartment.

With hindsight it was lucky they did fly back home.

Brill.
Disappointed to see that they weren't actually calling each other though (Simon's phone screen was on while he was "talking" to Nick - sorry, I notice stuff like that...)

Yes, at least they are at home where family can keep an eye on them.

If we were stuck in France now, we would be confined to home with the military checking our papers everytime we stepped outside !!

Some people see things as they are and ask "Why?"; I dream of things that never were and ask "Why not?"
