What will you be doing when the moon rudely interupts the sun?

The last solar eclipse I can remember experiencing although it was ruined by cloudy weather was in the 1990's. It was weird as there was no sound not even birdsongs..very eerie indeed.

I remember one around 1958ish though when just a nipper and the headmaster in school had us all looking through a very dark lens. My memories were of a total eclpse but then again, it was a long time ago Smiley Very Happy

Cleoriff any advice for anyone before the eclipse. I don't want to end up like Neo out of the Matrix, when his eyes get burned out of his head.

All I know is sunglasses are no good at all. In fact on the BBC news today they were showing people how to make eye protectors out of sieves and colanders. They all looked so damn stupid I think best advice is either pray for cloud or "look away from the sun" LOL
