Ok I saw something cool in the papers the other day and thought it would make a great start to a "brain teaser" thread.

Here goes:

There is a simple reason why 2 baby siblings are both the eldest. What's the reason?

Yes they are twins, but both are the eldest. How can that be?

One was born first at 1.50am the other was born second at 2.10am but because the clocks went back at 2,00am the second one born was actually 40 minutes older than the first born on paper.

Daylight Savings time. The clocks went back an hour just after the first one thus rendering a lifetime argument over who was born first.

Correct, @MI5 and @sheepdog! It was because of the daylight saving time.

Here's another one:

A man was born in 1898. He is still alive today, at the age of 33. How is this possible?

Leap years. 29/02/1898

Born on Feb 29th which means he's ages once every 4 years. 

Ha.He only had to wait for 72 years before getting a pint in his local.
