Only flown in them when we went to the US a few times.

A world of difference between these and the 'budget airlines'

Happy Birthday wink

I remember the excitement of our family going on our first Jumbo jet to the USA many years ago. Just absolute awe at the sheer size of one up close for the first time. A wonderful experience. Flown many times since and the 747 certainly changed the long haul flights for thhe good. An historic plane though now it seems a little dated compared to the bigger aircraft used by Emirates and Etihad on flights to the Far East.

Many happy memories of flights back to the States and home again on the 747. A magnificent plane. My first flight back to the States after moving here in 1971, and my first ever flight anywhere, was on a 747. My mum was worried I'd be nervous never having flown but I loved it and loved flying on the 747s. Happy birthday 747 heart
