This is not as easy as I thought it would be!

My final list (below) has 6 on it, and trying to drop one is not simple.

ABOUT A BOY [2002]

10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU [1999]

NOTTING HILL [1999]

THE PRINCESS BRIDE [1987]

FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL [1994]

GROUNDHOG DAY [1993]

I think my top 5 would have to be

ABOUT A BOY [2002]

10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU [1999]

NOTTING HILL [1999]

THE PRINCESS BRIDE [1987]

FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL [1994]

A bit difficult for someone whose choice of films lean towards the psychological thriller genre.

However, I'll think about it and give it a go later @Mi-Amigo 😂

Guys help! I've never seen even one of these movies.

Think I'll have to rate them by how popular they are in memes 😂

There is a running joke with me and a couple of friends as on of them has not seen a large number of films that seem to be ones that most people have seen.
While the rom-com is not a genre we normally watch, I would expect most people to have seen at least a couple from the above list @Breanna!

I would recommend my top 6 as somewhere to start and no doubt most people would do the same with their lists!

Why isn't Die Hard on the list? Its the ultimate rom-com where a guy fights his way against all odds for his wife and best of all, it happens over Christmas!  🤣

Anyway, my top 5:

1. The Princess Bride

2. There’s Something about Mary

3. The 40 year old virgin

4. My Big Fat Greek wedding

5. The Wedding Singer

@Breanna I can't believe you haven't seen any from this list. I agree with @gmarkj that even though Rom-Com's might not be for everyone they do have a time and place and most people have at least watched a 'couple'. 😉 That said I would like to see Bre's list based on how many memes it has! 😅

As for my top 5 @Mi-Amigo It would probably have to be:

5. ABOUT A BOY [2002]
4. NOTTING HILL [1999]
3. THE HOLIDAY [2006]

2. PRETTY WOMAN [1990]

1. LOVE ACTUALLY [2003]
