It is the first day of autumn in the northern hemisphere! And as a subscriber of numerous newsletters, I've come across a bit of autumn related trivia. Below, is a table of 16 leaves that can be found during autumn:

Admittedly, the newsletter is from an American organisation so I'm not sure how many of the tree species will be here in the UK. But, if this is something you're familiar with or fancy a go at, please do so!

I've hidden a word bank below so if you're really struggling, you can use these to help.

More info
Word bank: Mulberry, Maple, Japanese Maple, Tulip Tree, Pine, Sycamore, Oak, Chestnut, Giant Sequoia, Hickory, Locust, Beech, Willow, Palm, Holly, Gingko

Feel free to comment when you think you know one, but maybe wait for another community member to guess before posting again.

I wonder if this would be up any of your streets, @Mi-Amigo  @Cleoriff  @pgn  @jonsie  @BobM  @gmarkj  @TallTrees @madasaf1sh? And anyone else who I may have missed, sorry.

Cheers 🌿🍁🍂🍃!

Needled into action, eh, @Cleoriff? 🤣

Well done, even if some of the guesses early-on were a bit off-the-wall ☘️🍀🏝️.

Nice idea, @lewys-gp, thank you.

@pgn @Mi-Amigo

When it started it was still siesta time for me, so I had no hesitation in trying to play catch up 😂

(Particularly as I thought everyone else had given up) lolol x

Good game @lewys-gp and well done everyone.

Just right, @Cleoriff 👍

There is a "horse chestnut", the source of conkers or buckeyes, leaf 1 above, and the "chestnut", or "edible chestnut", "Castanea":

Just in case anyone is thinking of stuffing their Christmas turkey with chestnut stuffing...😉

Thank you @lewys-gp for something a bit different ... ... ... shame yesterday started well with me having my toe nails painted tarty / scarlet Red ... ... ... then in the micro pub 'Early Doors' to swig off 1/2 pints of real ale shandy in a barrel mug (poor grip in my hands, they shake due to side effects of tablets) & eating my butty from Craven Bakery ..... birthday boy of 73 didn't turn up ... ... ... actually felt close to my mum Olwen carefully packing her lovely clothes off to the Sense charity shop ... ... ... nice sisterley chat with Caroline ..... back to micro pub, still birthday boy 73 not turned up ... ... ... wended my way home to find I'd lost my keys = Urgh / Pulling hair out !!

Edited for making sense slight_smile

Sooo after a long story sooo sorry to miss this game

Maybe another one using flower heads @lewys-gp ?
