I want an Xbox ROG Ally for Christmas, because it allegedly plays all my Steam games and stuff from GOG.com as well as all my Xbox and Game Pass stuff.
However, I know that for some bizarre reason, some gamers prefer Sony branded hardware and software.
So what are you guys planning to get? Xbox ROG Ally or the next proper consoles from MS or Sony?

It's been delayed long enough already.

Still scheduled for 26th May 2026 @jonsie
So nothing has changed on that front... just someone knowing **bleep** all about it and trying to be funny

I have both an Xbox Series S and a PS4 which are bizarrely rarely used for games but as streaming devices! Do like the Xbox game pass as an idea and did try it but I don't play games enough to justify the expense each month. Plus various other retro devices in my collection means the temptation of getting one of these would become another dust collection widget. Perhaps I should give up my day job to fully utilise them 🤣
Oh a little research says you can use the Ally X as a normal pc so this might be on my Christmas shopping list this year! Which means I'd get rid my aging main pc (with Steam games) that is currently being replaced with a Mac Mini & a mini pc for all the Windows stuff Mac can't do. Ohhh it does emulation too so er, I see a funding decluttering event being planned in the near future 😎
But as far as the next-gen are concerned, no won't be getting them as they'll be effectively a remote (dumb) terminal at a premium price linked to a subscription that demands you view adverts for the privilege of switching it on.
