It's March 14th which means it's a silly little day for the nerds and bakers alike to come together and eat pie!

So guys I'm really just not good at math, but we all recognize π right?

Pi has been calculated to over 50 trillion digits beyond its decimal point. As an irrational and transcendental number, it will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern.

The unofficial world record for memorizing the digits currently stands at 100,000 which took over 16 hours...

What's your favourite pie to bake or eat? I think mine might be wild blackberry with many a summer spent collecting bucketfuls from the woods. No warm memories of algebra class to share though...

@pgn

The Lemon meringue pie reminds me of this classic Key Lime pie my sister used to make. She was an absolute whiz at baking cakes and fruit pies.

and one I had for the first time last week... A Banoffee pie. (Although mine didn't have sliced banana, that part was mashed into the filling itself

Both Key Lime Pie and Banoffee Pie are up there on my list, along with Mississippi Mud Pie and rhubarb pie and custard:

Rhubarb pie and custard (or ice cream):

But my favourite, albeit not really classed as a pie, is:

What's the last one @pgn? Looks like the Egg Custard Tart, one of my Mum's specialities...

PS.  never tried Mississippi Mud Pie. I must try it soon. Our local carvery (Middlemarch Farm) is renowned for it's sweets and desserts (Massive portions) Their carvery is one of the best locally. If you can't eat your dessert, it's packed up in a special tray to eat later at home. Delicious

Info here (you may have one locally) https://www.farmhouseinns.co.uk/pubs/warwickshire/middlemarch-farm/

Please note the sweet display on the left hand side. 🤤
