Hi, I have an iPhone that I currently use abroad. I want to remove the carrier lock from my phone but the response from O2 was that as the phone is not available through the O2 network, they cannot unlock it.

Other providers are able to send an unlock code, why O2 is not providing this solution? I need a solution from O2, I paid for the phone and service and this is an O2 lock. Thanks.

@Derek70

When did you purchase the iPhone as since 2017 no o2 phone has been locked..

Did you complete the form on the website Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card ? or call in?

iPhones are not unlocked by code, they are done via Apple's servers

O2 won't subit the IMEI to Apple unless it is registered on the network
