new contract and eSIM issue abroad

I switched from Vodafone to O2 yesterday and was trying to activate my eSIM, however I am still on hols out of UK, would it be possible that the activation does not work as I am abroad ? thx

Upgrade iPhone

When I go on the O2 app to try and upgrade my phone the app only lets me select the other sim on my account (which is to open our gate!) and not my own phone. Can anyone help please?
