@Kerry8 Is this a sim that came with a new phone? If you have the sim from your old phone, and it's the same size, use that for the time being. If the sim that came with the new phone is 5G and you're in a 5G active area, you can do a sim swap: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/SIM-Swap-a-mini-guide-incl-eSim/ba-p/1060675

If you're not in a 5G area, just carry on using the sim from your old phone.

Why do you have a new sim?

If because of lost or stolen, you need to call O2 to habe bars lifted from your account Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support 

If a new sim for an upgrade, use your old sim or do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
