I have just received a call purporting to be from O2 at number 02080404352 offering a discounted rate for my monthly payments. I this a legitimate call?

No. A scam that is widespread. Block the number and report to 7726

As long as you didn't give them any codes or information you should be OK

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
