my phone is in ex-husband's name so I can't call 02 ever!! I pay all the bills etc and want to keep the number I have had for so long. I want to tell them I am going abroad and want to text travelling companions and home - how can I do that?

Ask your ex to add you to the account as an authorised user.
If that's not viable then you should either get a payg sim whilst abroad and use that or open up your own account and start over with a new number.

Hi,
Thats fair enough.
Well you do have a bit of leverage as you say "you pay the bill."
Either he transfers the account to you or you hand back the sim card and contract, leaving him to foot the rest of the contract. {He may want the phone that was given with the contract tho :smileysad:}
He may not want that round his neck for the remainder of the contract term !
and then you open up your own contract if he refuses.
Take care.

Your phone should be set up for overseas automatically. Presumably you can access My O2 and check your bolt ons for O2 Travel. You could also download the app to your phone.
If you need to contact O2 customer service you could use the Chat option, they can't differentiate between the sexes on webchat:smileywink:
