iPhone 3G - Delay in Receiving Texts

Anonymous

Hello - Newbie here slight_smile
I wonder if anyone can help me.
I have the old iPhone 3G on Pay Monthly. Just recently I've had a delay in receiving text messages. I can send them ok, but then my friends will email to say they don't think I am getting their messages.
I read about this online and have tried switching to Airplane mode for a minute and off again, I've tried a hard reset and I've also tried resetting network settings. Usually after a network reset the texts will come through in one big group after about an hour of resetting. This has been happening on and off for a while but as of the past week - it's been happening EVERY DAY. It's really frustrating.
I even tried a restore yesterday and got some texts through last night but today it's doing it again.
Does anyone know a solution to this? It's driving me mad and I'm not due for an upgrade until July. Is this a problem with my handset or O2's network?
(I should perhaps say I cracked my screen a few weeks ago but everything still works perfectly it just doesn't look too great, surely this won't be causing it?).
Thanks for reading!
B
xx

Thanks.
This seems to work, but it's a bit of a pain to have to keep doing it every day everytime my texts go down.
Does anyone know why it's doing this? It can't be the network or surely everyone would be having this problem.
