Some phone such as Samsung do have capability of blocking individual numbers. It's a simple process of following the menu.
Unfortunately, the vast majority don't have that option and there is nothing you can do your end.
You can however contact O2 and one of the options you have is a free change of number.

There are some applications you can get too if you have a smartphone.
A common one is called 'Call Blocker Pro'
I've never tried these apps before but I've heard they work and are pretty cool.
If you are receiving phone calls from a company you can always ask them politely to stop.
If however it isn't a company then you may want to consider changing your mobile phone number.
Give O2 a shout and they should do it for you. Providing you haven't done this recently they'll do it for your free of charge.
You will however receive a new voicemail box which means if you have any saved messages stored in your current box they will be erased.
If it's a withheld number that is contacting you and you'd like to find out who it is to report them to the police; O2 can also monitor your line for a few days and contact you with the results.
If you need to do this make sure that you write down the date and times this person/company is calling you so you can collate your findings.
I should also point out that if the calls you are receiving are abusive or threatening I would advise that you contact the local police to let them know.
I hope you sort it.
