Website bugs or errors

Anonymous

Hi guys,

Some of you have mentioned seeing bugs or errors on specific website pages. As it can sometimes be hard to reproduce bugs, I wanted to set up a dedicated thread to help collect and track any issues you might find. We've set up a weekly meeting with the webdev team to go through any pages which are reported here, so that should get things sorted rather quickly.

In case you do spot something, please let us know here and we'll keep you up to date with what's going on. To find or reproduce the bug/error, it would be helful if you could provide the following information:

Link to page:

Steps to take to reproduce bug:

What the page currently does/say:

What the page should do/say:

Thanks for letting us know and we'll try to get it fixed as soon as possible!

Cheers,
Leonard

The page here offers Lend us a Quid but the option is no longer in 4444, has this service been withdrawn?

Hi guys,

Some updates on a few of your observations:

1. Device page link error (http://www.o2.co.uk/devices/device.jsp?)

This link has been decomissioned and as part of the site's redesign (which will be happening in the near future), new versions will be added.

2. 1750 number

http://www.o2.co.uk/support/generalhelp/howdoi/voicemail901/howtogetstarted

This is still free. Is this the number you were referring to perksie?

3. The 'Red Flag' reporting advice in the community Ts & Cs.

This will be changed in the next site update.

4. Mobile guide page

http://mobileguide.o2.co.uk/

Much like the 1st point, this has been decomissioned and will be replaced.

I hope that clears a few up guys and let me know of you have any more questions or observations.

@perksie; If I have raised the wrong number, let me know slight_smile

@toby it is the cost to call 901 on the linked page that is wrong

this text

If you're a Pay & Go customer, calls to 901 are charged at 15p a call on our Talkalot rates (from Feb 08). Otherwise they're charged at 10p per call.

If you're a Pay Monthly customer, calls to 901 are free of charge.

I've just used Pay & Go top-up via www.o2.co.uk/webtopup for the first time in a couple of months, and I see that the screens have changed.

I had a couple of problems.

First, in Firefox 23.0.1, I got as far as the point when the "Verified by Visa" screen was about to pop-up, but Firefox complained about a cross-site scripting issue and refused to continue. The error flashed by very quickly. I couldn't read all of it.

So I started up Opera 12.16 instead, and was able to go through the process again and top up. However, I was surprised that it worked because I can no longer enter my correct billing address. My bank's records have the house name and no number, while yours only has the house number, and there is no longer any way to manually correct it.

In my previous query I mentioned a fast-disappearing XSS error message. I think this may be an effect of the NoScript plug-in for Firefox, so not O2's fault!

I'll investigate how to whitelist sites.

I am unable to start new threads (but am able to reply to them) as there is a message at the top of the screen saying that I have to varify my e-mail address and my username must be my e-mail address.

Thing is, I have already varified my e-mail address 3 times already and my username already IS my e-mail address... so what's going on?!
