Have I ever had such poor customer service? Never.Even Argos who I bought a mixer off off 3 months earlier and it broke mixing gave me a full refund!!
According to O2's terms and conditions are more important than your statutory rights???
I advised her that she needed some serious re-training - her answer to get a security guard?
I never swore or threatened her - I advised her that she needed to read the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and understand that beside the 14 day rule -- THIS DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.
5 minutes after my experience with her I will no longer use 02 - no contract THANK GOD!!!
I bought a new phone and have contacted customer service, the office of fair trading and lodged a formal written complaint.
My advice for anyone dealing with O2 - Quote the sale of goods act to them and pursue!!

Also the phone should be covered under the manufacturers warranty so can be sent away for repair, if you still have the receipt you can have this done, but you wanted a straight exchange? Dont think you can, its not not fit for purpose, its gone faulty, after 4? repairs you can get it replaced though.

The Sale of Goods act, doesn't guarantee you an refund or exchange, a repair is perfectly acceptable.
Why would you try to contact the Office of Fair Trading, do you mean Trading Standards?

If you're going to use the Sale of Goods Act, you could at least try to understand it! You didn't mean not fit for purpose, you meant faulty (or at a push 'Not of merchantable quality').
The Sale of Goods act, doesn't guarantee you an refund or exchange, a repair is perfectly acceptable.

Very true. If I do ever have the need to return an item, I would always stick to the facts and describe (in a friendly but firm way) what I want to happen.
I certainly wouldn't be quoting legislation and making personal comments about the employees!
