We need to take in the calories as from tomorrow because Friday 21st will soon be upon us bringing a whole new raft of threads.

Agreed that O2 don't seem to have learned from previous iPhone launches. This is the 4th one I've watched since being on this forum and the same problems seem to exhibit themselves year after year.

Sterling effort by the forum team this year, and in previous years by long term members - but O2 communication is poor on this and many things. 'Coming soon' seems to be the mantra. I can think of many 'coming soons' that seem never to have happened.

I mentioned a different thread (no doubt lost in the melee) that the main problem is that o2 have an inconsistency in delivering info to CS who seem to have a tendency to elaborate when put under pressure by customers. Which in turn causes a lot of speculation and incorrect theories not helped by the Twitter storms.

Leonard/Toby - I also congratulate you and anyone else on your team on the forum in trying to cope with it but you are fighting a fire with a water pistol. Given the next hurricane is going to be friday/saturday especially about delivery, it would be helpful if o2 gets a standard script out to all CS and not to deviate. Also, you've probably got in hand but a sticky for what to do about non-delivery is going to be helpful.

Looking at the media reports, it seems that already Apple are warning of supply delays of perhaps 2 weeks due to demand.
Now whether this affects CPs' supplies is a little vague but if Apple are short then I would think that they'll ensure that their stores have adequate supplies before O2/Vodafone/EE stores get theirs.

That's going to be interesting for a lot of people queuing up. Expect a lot of understandably irate people on Friday to be posting especially as in the past, even the shops don't know how many they're getting.
