Source Barred

Been trying to send an sms to a friend all evening, and get a message saying "source barred". What does this mean?

Have you accidentally blocked the number in your message or contact settings?

Do you have the correct message centre number in your phone?

Also check that your friend has not blocked your number.

Yes, have checked everything, and all is fine. SMS messages going out to everyone else except this one person.

This friend lives in Gambia - would it have something to do with the network there I wonder? Other texts to her tonight went out OK.
