I knew I shouldn't of got excited, the rumours were that the samsung i7500 would be avaliable today on 02 ... but nothing on the website.

How much longer do I have to wait? I will be strong and not crumble and buy a G1.

Has anyone heard anymore from 02 about when it will be availiable?

Has any one noticed the main 02 home page is down... could the be changing it to add the i7500 .... who knows?

Apple do this sort of thing... pull down there website for a day to make the changes. I never worked out why apart from hype. When I update one of my websites i make the changes off line then upload the new page over the old one. But I guess thats a topic for another forum

On the Saturday before last the Worcester O2 Shop told me it was going to be in shops in the week beginning 10th August. They said it was going to be "released" in week beginning 3rd August. (I assume that means they'll start publicising it one week and actually sell it from the next.)

Anyone following me on Twitter then would have known about this for a week and a half.

Yea checking the forums and news sites we've got a range of dates from the 27th of July to the 12th of August all from "02" sources. So all we can really say is "it will be out really soon".

Im inclined to beleive Wanty since she works for 02 and has checked the stock .. its in stock on the 10th on sale in the 12th.

Here's an update for anyone following this post.

The 10th of August came and went and there was no sign of the i7500. A lot of people here on the forum got in contact with 02 either at their shops, customer services, upgrade department or sales and we had a huge ammount of mixed messages from them.

Some were told it would be avaliable mid week in the shops when they got their normal deliveries - that never happened.

Some said it would come in to the O2 depo on the thursday - that hasn't happened either.

Some were told it will now be avaliable on the week commencing the 17th August.

Some were told that the phone has failed accreditation with O2 uk because of the recent reported bugs with the new update released by samsung and won't be appearing in the UK any time soon.

Right now no one knows what to beleive because 02 can't give consistent information. People are now giving up, leaving in droves and heading to orange or tmobile to get an android phone.

o2 now have an anticipated release date of w/c 17/08/09

I wouldn't set hopes too high though, because it's a date they may push back again.
