If you've been a Skype user you can transition to Microsoft Teams. I'm not certain about what Skype features will be available but I believe the explanation is here:

Moving from Skype to Microsoft Teams Free - Microsoft Support

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Agreed @Bambino, there are several alternatives and they are probably better than the Skype of 2025. But Skype was a trailblazer and I feel nostalgic to see it go. 👍

Has anybody mentioned whether there is a "new" way to contact O2, replacing the useful Skype route ?

Must admit it's not something I have used more than once or twice in all it's years.

I'm not a Microsoft person, was Linux based. I got a laptop with Windows 10 but as that's now defunct gone back to Linux

Very tempted to play with the Linux Terminal on my Pixel 9 and copy of Android 16

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Enlli

Hmm, its not brilliant and takes a bit of work to use, but it works, as have it on my P9PF  and is a nice geeky tool to have

Skype lacked investment and development and I know like me a lot of IT Pro's are glad to see it die off and never see the light of day ahead

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

I could never understand why Microsoft paid lots to acquire Skype and then effectively left it to wither on the vine. 👍
