Porting to O2 with a different owner

Hi, I have been using an iD sim which is on my sister's name. I have a bought a new O2 sim and want to port the iD sim number to O2 but on my name. How can i do that?

Just submit the relevant form from here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/device-and-sim-support/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number

or call customer service.

All numbers are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support 
Or 202 from your O2 mobile.
Advice from an O2 Guru to get through:
When you call 202, you will be asked for the reason you are calling.
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
You can also try saying "Upgrade" or "Fraud" to be connected to an advisor.

You may needs to get the name change done at ID Mobile first or get a letter of Authorisation from your sister that she permits this change.

As there is some verification that goes on in the background before the port goes ahead

As far as I'm aware your sister will simply receive a text message verification so send in the form in the link provided by @MI5

I just did this very same thing with an O2 to Voda change.

My daughter now has her own Voda contract and the number that was previously ported over was in my name.

I just received a text to say it was been ported across with no other checks to ownership whatsoever.
